Abstract

296,298. Tolzmann, R., and Sieracke, F. Aug. 27, 1927, [Convention date]. Storing under pressure.- An inflation apparatus comprises a gas container a, regulating valve g, manometer r and piping with nipple attachment for passing the gas to the tyre &c., the container, valve and spike for opening the container being carried by separate telescopic parts. The container is mounted within a holder b which is screwed on to a threaded portion connected with a sleeve c so that the head of the container is moved on to a bored spike f allowing the gas to escape, and on opening the valve g to pass through the bore h to the tyre and manometer. The end of the piping carries a stem t to hold the tyre valve down. The sleeve s may be graduated to indicate in conjunction with graduations on the sleeve c the pressure of the gas and the amount consumed.
