308,455. Currey, F. E. V., and Guest, Keen & Nettlefolds, Ltd. March 14, 1928. Tyre valves.-A device capable of temporary attachment to the valve body of the inner tube of a pneumatic tyre to facilitate attachment of the outer cover is formed with a knurled portion 13 for rotating it to screw the threaded socket 7 on to the valve body and has a central bore 11 extending to a threaded part 12 adapted to receive an inflator. The extension member may be connected to the valve by other means than screw threading; for instance a bayonet joint construction may be employed or a spring catch or clip.
