Road-traffic signals on vehicles; semaphore signals.-Front and rear indicating arms m, n are mounted on pulleys b, d and are turned simultaneously to either side by means of a handle a attached to the pulley b of the front arm through a cable q passing over additional pulleys. Two front arms may be employed adapted to be clutched to their supporting pulleys in one direction of movement only and retained normally upright by a spring. The arms may be hollow and fitted with lamps r covered by red glass, the lamp circuits being closed in the operative positions through contacts p.
