Abstract

220,948. Bauch Maschinenfabrik, E., and Wadenklee, A. Aug. 21, 1923, [Convention date]. W i n d i n g - machines; stopmotions; doffing-arrangements; thread-severing arrangements.- When the bobbin k, Fig. 3, in a yarn winding frame is fully wound, a rod c carried by the counter weight q pushes a member d upwardly and releases a pawl e, which permits a triangular lever h pivoted at f to turn into the position shown in Fig. 4, and at the same time, by means of a projection h<1>, to raise the friction clutch i and stop the spindle b. On turning, the lever h, through a connecting-rod o and levers p, p<1>, Fig. 2, operates a clutch t to connect a belt pulley r to a continuously rotating shaft s, and on rotation of the pulley r a weighted belt r<1> passing thereover is moved to draw the spindle bearing v downwards. When the bearing v is drawn downwards sufficiently for the spindle b to be completely withdrawn from the bobbin, the said bearing strikes a lever x, which had been set in an inclined position on the release of the member h by the pawl e. The lever x is thereby moved back to its original position, and in so moving releases the clutch t through the connecting-rod o<1> and the levers p, p<1>, thus removing the pull from the belt r<1> and permitting the return of the spindle b to its operative position under the action of the weight q. Simultaneously with its operation'of the lever x, the bearing v through a projection v<1> and a stop w moves a rod w<1>, which actuates a lever y on the bobbin-ejector y<1>, Fig. 6, and causes the finished bobbin to be thrown into a trough z. The lever y also actuates a thread-cutter j comprising a spring-controlled blade movable in a sleeve. A second lever h may be provided to act as a broken-end stopmotion.
