Abstract

220,482. Hall, I. Sept. 12, 1923. Lever load-handling appliances.-A device for handling bearing-blocks and other heavy articles comprises members 1, 13 pivoted together at 9 and provided with gripping ends 5, 11 one. member forming a handle 13 and the other being provided with wheels 8, so that the load may be raised from the ground by depressing the handle, and then transported on rails or on the ground. The member 1 is provided with a handle 14 to facilitate adjustment over the load, and with a fixed projection or pivoted arms 15 acting as a distance piece, so that if the member 1 is turned into a vertical position, the centre of gravity of the load cannot pass to the other side of the axle 7.
