Revolving seats.-In bearing fittings for revolving seats, of the kind in which a vertical spindle is received in a socket and has a thrust bearing at the pointed end of the spindle, the spindle b and socket c<2> are in contact over the whole cylindrical surface enclosed by the socket, with the exception of a groove b<2> cut in the spindle to accommodate a grub screw d. The attachment plates a. c<1> are preferably in the form of a cross and strengthening ribs c<3> are provided on the socket member.
