Abstract

218,738. Dudeff, C. D. April 10, 1923. Roller bearings. - A spinning spindle of the type described in Specification 29181/13, and comprising a fixed member 2, Fig. 2, provided with a recess within which is eccentrically mounted a roller 8, and a rotating member 5, is provided with an eccentric guiding-rib 15, Fig. 7, in the bolster 14, the bore of the rib being elongated in the direction of pull of the driving-band. The roller 8, Fig. 6, has a downward extension 8<a> for guiding upwardly the oil in the bolster 14, such action being assisted by the provision of an upwardly-flaring bore 4. In a modification, a U-shaped member 17, Fig. 9, having lateral guiding-limbs 17<1> is inserted in the bolster 14, while the bearing 30 of the footstep 60, Fig. 12, of the member 5 may be yieldingly supported by two springs 50 of different diameters.
