Circular machines. -Relates to striping mechanism of the type described in Specification 184,339, in which depending thread - guides A, operated by a central cam H, are provided with inner projections X, a pattern cam J acting on said projections being raised or lowered in order to put the guides into or out of action. According to the present invention, the pattern cam J is raised and lowered from the centre of the machine, being secured by pins L to a hollow shaft E which is raised and lowered by the forked end M of a controlling lever. The pins L pass through slots F<1> in a rotating hollow shaft F to which the cams H and J are secured so as to rotate therewith. The controlling lever is operated by pattern chain mechanism. The dial N carrying the radial instruments O is secured to a central fixed shaft G, the dial cam P being secured to the shaft F. Specification 210,850 also is referred to.
