387,612. Knitting-machines. RÍMPLER AKT.-GES., J. and BAUMG€RTEL, C., 1A, Bahnhofstrasse, Zeulenroda, Thuringia, Germany. Aug. 18, 1932, No. 23214. [Class 74 (ii).] The needles of a straight-bar machine are provided with cam-engaging jacks 6 with which they are always in engagement. The jacks 6 are moved into and out of engagement with the cams 9 by auxiliary jacks 13, which in the operative position of the jacks 6, form bearings or seatings for those jacks. The jacks 13 are manually operated. The arrangement allows the needles 3 to remain always at the bottom of their tricks.
