Abstract
483,149. Knitting-machines. BALL, G. Oct. 12, 1936, No. 27594. [Class 74 (ii)] A straight-bar or other machine has means associated with a controlling cam whereby the sinkers 16 or the like, the extent of travel of which determines the loop size are pressed resiliently against an abutment or verge 17 at the end of their loop forming stroke. As shown, the slur-cock 10 is provided on at the forward extremities of each of its jack engaging faces with a spring-pressed ball 13 and operates the sinkers through jacks 11. Alternatively the spring-loaded members may take the form of plates.
