Fish tanks and aquaria.-Water in aquaria &c. is aerated by discharging air into it by means of a, jet of water discharged from a nozzle b through a mixing cone d and an expansion cone c opening. into the bottom of the tank p, or communicating with it through perforated pipes s, air being drawn into both the cone d and the cone c through a perforated pipe e extending above the 'level of the water in the tank h. The orifice of the nozzle b may be regulated by a needle-valve.
