Abstract

216,127. Robb, W., and Robb, S. May 13, 1924. Heckling-machines.-In a heckling-machine for flax &c. the holders 1 are carried continuously along a. stationary channel 3 and are acted upon by heckle sheets 12 which run approximately vertically, the top pins intermeshing by about one-sixteenth of an inch, and the bottom pins being only about one-eighth of an inch away from one another. The movement of the holders along the channel is obtained from an endless chain 5 passing round sprocket wheels, one, 6<1>, of which is driven by gearing 8, 9, 10. The chain carries projecting pins to engage the holders.
