Abstract

Controlling different functions by same handle. -In an electrically driven amusement vehicle the friction driving gearing is engaged and disengaged by rocking the steering column about a transverse axis. The rear ends of shafts 18 carrying rollers 19 adapted to drive the road wheel 10 are carried in movable bearings connected by cords to a tubular member 27 which is adapted to be rocked about a horizontal axis and through which passes a steering column 36, so that by rocking the column 27 the roliers 19 are engaged with and disengaged from the wheel 10, and by turning the rod 36 the steering-wheel 38 is operated. The base of the member 27 is provided with an arm 32 to which the cords &c., 28 are secured. Specification 208,877 is referred to.
