Abstract

204,340. Dimitriu, J. Sept. 23, 1922, [Convention date]. Drivers, means for facilitating training of.- Two steering wheels, two clutch pedals and two brake pedals are arranged side by side and positively connected one with the other in such a manner that the instructor has independent control over the actions of the learner. In the construction shown in Fig. 1, the steering wheels are connected by sprocket-wheels 3, 4 and a chain 5. The two clutch pedals 14, 15 are carried by a single arm 16<1> and the two brake pedals 18, 19 are both secured to a transverse shaft 20. In a modification the steering wheel shafts are connected by bevel and spur gearing, and the clutch pedals 14, 15 are carried by separate arms on a tubular shaft mounted on the shaft 20.
