Abstract

214,299. Viz, E., and Meinhardt, M. Dec. 21, 1922. Addition to 198,722. Generating electricity by thermally-produced changes of permeability of magnetic circuit.-In a modification of the invention described in the parent Specification, the currents induced in the coils C, C<1> on the soft-iron bars II, III<1> are passed, either wholly or partly after rectification, through additional windings D, E on the electromagnets I, II. The coils may be in series or in parallel with one another. A commutator K is employed to rectify the current during the heating and cooling of the magnetic screens a, a<1>, b, b<1>, c, c<1>, d, d<1>. The screens a<1>, b<1>, c, d are separately excited, and a commutator K<1> is inserted to change their polarity at the heating and cooling periods.
