Abstract
214,003. Wood, G. W. Jan. 23, 1923. Teeth, artificial. - A dental articulator comprises upper and lower members connected respectively to two links by hinge joints capable of being locked after adjustment and said links being themselves connected by a hinge joint. The lower and upper members b, a are formed with lugs k, l pivoted to links c, d by pins i, j fitted with wing nuts whereby the joints may be locked. The links c, d are connected by a pivot pin m about which the two members of the articulator may be turned in the ordinary way, movement being limited by an adjustable screw g with lock nut h. The upper member of the instrument comprises a part b having a hole for the passage of a threaded spigot f forming part of a member sliding on a stem e integral with the lug k. The part b may be adjusted longitudinally along the stem e and radially about the spigot f and is secured in adjusted position by a wing nut. The members a, b may be formed with forked ends, as shown, or as discs or plates fitted with lugs and set screws to engage moulding plates in which the plaster models are cast.
