Abstract

213,329. Ayer, J. Dec. 23, 1922. Mounting electric lamps in lanterns.-In a vehicle head lamp having a divided reflector, the forward portion i of which is fixed and the rear portion h carrying the light source is adapted to be tilted about a horizontal axis, the arrangement is such that the tilting axis is in a medial plane and to the rear of the light source. The rear part of the reflector is carried by a spindle j adapted to be actuated by a rod, wire or other control in opposition to a return spring.
