Abstract

171,777. Montague, C. H. Aug. 20, 1920. Vehicle lamps.-In addition to the ordinary head-lights 3, spot lights 4 are mounted below the lamps 3, the light sources 6 and reflectors 5 being arranged as shown in Figs. 2 and 3 so as to direct the light rays downwardly and to one side only of the path of the vehicle. To prevent dazzle, a shield 7 is arranged on each lamp 4 to cover one side of the front glass. In a modification, Fig. 4, pivotally mounted spot-lights 13<a>, each having a shield 16<a>, are separate from the head-light 2<a>, and are carried by brackets on a bar 3a of the frame of the vehicle.
