213,245. Lentz Patents, Ltd., (Assignees of Lentz, H.). March 24, 1923, [Convention date]. Hydraulic transmission apparatus.-In locomotives driven through hydraulic gearing and crank mechanism, the crank gear on each side is driven by a secondary pump or motor independent of that driving the other side, so that the two sets of gear can adjust themselves to allow for anv inaccuracies in fitting. In the construction shown, each axle is driven by two motors c, c<1> having independent shafts d, d<1> and crank gear f. In a modification, they are coupled and a motor at each end is connected by crank gear to the coupling rod at one side only.
