Abstract

212,973. Lockyer, E. G. F. Dec. 18, 1922. Food-warming stoves; ovens; lids.-Apparatus for keeping food hot comprises an upper portion 1 consisting of concentric cylinders 5, 8, the latter of which is closed at the bottom and adapted to contain the food vessels 16, and a lower part 2 which fits on to the lower end of the portion 1, engaging beads 4, 7 being provided to retain the sections in position. The lower part 2 is fitted with a container 6 for solid fuel such as charcoal bricks and the products of combustion pass upwardly through the space between the cylinders 5, 8 and escape through apertures 9 into a hollow lid 11 provided with valve-controlled outlets 31. A limited supply of air for combustion is maintained by the provision of a number of small holes 12 or a valve 32. The outer casing 5 and the bottom of the lower section 2 are lined with heatinsulating material. Specification 186,805 is referred to.
