Food-warming stoves; covers; ovens; supports for articles to be heated or warmed.-In apparatus for heating food or keeping it hot, of the kind comprising outer and inner cylindrical vessels 2, 3, separated by an annular heating flue 5, the inner vessel 3 has an open top, normally closed by a cover 17, through which food, in a plurality of superposed vessels 4, is inserted and withdrawn, while the outer vessel 2 extends from top to bottom of the apparatus and is imperforate except for an opening which allows the insertion of a burner portion 6 slidably mounted in guides 14<x>. Slow combustion fuel, such as charcoal blocks 11, is contained in a removable cup 9 having a perforated base 10, and in the lower part of the member 6 is arranged a spirit igniter 8. The member 6 is secured by stays 15 to a front plate 13 which is attached to a base-plate. 14 and through which extends an air-supply tube 12, the plate 13 being adapted, when the burner is in position, to close the aperture in the outer vessel 2. The products of combustion pass up the flue 5 and enter, through holes 16, the hollow cover 17 from which they escape to the atmosphere through an aperture 18. The food containers 4 are supported in a dish 19 to which are secured manipulating bars 20, 21, the latter being hinged at 22 to allow insertion and removal of the contairers 14. Fig. 4 shows a modified form of fuel container which is divided into compartments 9 by a partition 9<x> and is formed integral with the upper face 14<xx> of a drawer-like slide, the sides of which are flanged outwardly at their lower ends to engage in the guides 14<x>.
