Converting pulsating currents into steady continuous currents.- In order to obtain a steady current from a mercury-vapour or other rectifier a, a limiting inductance b is inserted in one of the direct-current distributing mains c, and one or more shunt circuits, each consisting of an inductance in series with a capacity, are placed across the mains. The shunt circuits are tuned to the frequency of the undulations to be eliminated from the direct-current circuit. Specification 148,129 is referred to.
