Abstract

A rotary piston unit comprises a rotary piston (1) which is eccentrically mounted in a housing (4) and carries blades (7) which are distributed around its circumference and co-operate with the inside housing wall (5). Rollers (6), the longitudinal axis of which extend parallel to the axis (Z2 or Z4) of the piston shaft, are rotatably mounted in the piston (1) and receive the blades (7) free of play in slots (14). The rollers (6) hold the blades (7), which at their outside regions are adapted to the radius of curvature of the inside housing wall (5), radially aligned to the axis (Z1) of the housing (4). <IMAGE>
