Abstract

211,399. Williams, W. June 14, 1923. Chimney and ventilating-shaft tops.-Relates to revoluble cowls, of the kind supported by a spindle 7 the bearing for which comprises a lined tube 5 secured on a, bracket 4 and provided at its upper end with a grease cup 8. According to the invention, the tube 5 is welded at 16, 17 to the bracket 4 and cup 8 respectively. The spindle 7 is also secured by welding to a disc 14 carrying the vanes 13 and has welded on it a collar 15 which prevents displacement of the cowl by engagement with the lid 11 of the grease cup, this lid being secured by a bayonet-joint the pins 18 of which project inwardly from the lid.
