Abstract

141,160. Soutar, J. Feb. 26, 1919. Refuse-burning stoves.- A portable destructor for domestic and like refuse consists of an outer casing J and an inner combustion chamber C, forming an annulus to which air is admitted. A grate D rests on brackets K, and on this rests the lower end of an inverted truncated conical combustion chamber C, the upper end of which has a flange L extending to the outer casing J. Air is admitted by apertures E with regulators. The removable cover N is conical, as shown, and has a truncated conical shield B inside it and a flange O fitting over the upper end of the casing J. Air apertures are made near the upper end of the casing J and the lower end of the cover N. The cover terminates in a short chimney fitted with a cowl G and a damper A. Handles are fitted to the parts J, N.
