Abstract
210,404. Claude, G., and Beaufort, J. M. E. de. Jan. 23, 1923, [Convention date]. Drawings to Specification. Bending glass tubes.-A method of bending glass tubing consists in winding helically on the tube a suitable electric resistance wire which is insulated with some incombustible material, passing a current through the wire until the glass is heated to the plastic state, and then shaping the tube on a template. The current may then be reduced in such a way as to let the tube cool slowly.
