[Class 83 (ii)] [Also in Group XI] A metallic sheath 7 for an electric resistance heating element is formed by bending a sheet of metal so that the longitudinal edges lie in contact with one another. They may be welded to form a rib 8. The sheath is produced in circular section and is depressed as shown after the element and its insulation are inserted.
