Abstract

548,576. Electric heating appliances. GRIMWOOD, C. L. July 1, 1941, No. 8253. [Class 39 (iii)] [Also in Group XVIII] An electric heating appliance for preventing steaming of shop windows and which also displays an advertisement, consists of a metal tube a bent to rectangular form, containing an insulated heating resistance. Terminals b are provided at the ends of the tube, and spaced clips d are provided whereby a cardboard advertising sheet e may be attached. The frame may be composed of straight metal tubes connected by elbow pieces by means of bayonet joints. The elbows may be lined with porcelain and may carry terminals connected by a metal strip within the elbow, or the elbows may be of insulating material. The wires in the straight tubes are connected to the terminals. A junction box may be interposed in the lower straight tube.
