Abstract
209,875. Crowe, G. E. W. Nov. 3, 1922. Receiving and delivery devices for doors and the like.-Means are provided whereby the iceman can fill the ice-receptacle of a domestic refrigerator from the street without having to apply to the occupants of the house. The refrigerator comprises a receptacle 2 for the commodities and another compartment 3 for the ice, the latter being provided at its front with a door 17 opening into the house and its its rear with a door 14 opening from the street. An intermediate door 11 may be provided to form a chamber 12 into which tradespeople can place their commodities in the same way that the ice-man places ice in the receptacle 3. Curved baffles 4 ensure the passage of cooled air to the receptacle 2. The doors may be of gauze and may be provided with spring catches.
