Abstract

208,467. Marks, E. C. R., (Griffiths, H.). April 9, 1923. Gas meters.-A dry gas-meter is constructed with a circular casing 4, provided with the usual partition 5 and measuring chamber 9, 10, upon which is removably mounted a valve plate 12, gas tight communications being effected therewith by means of flanged pipes 11, projecting from the chambers 9, 10 through the chamber 4, adapted to form gas-tight seatings for the valve plate when the parts are drawn together by means of the studs 18. The measuring chambers 10 are each formed by a circular ring 23 secured to the partition 5, the ring being provided with a flange 24 between which and a stout ring 26 the diaphragm 22 is clamped by means of bolts 25. The diaphragms are strengthened by the usual discs 27 secured by means of a central bolt 28 which also serves to secure the flag to the diaphragm.
