Kinematograph apparatus. -In apparatus of the kind described in Specification 195,852 in which a carrier for a coil of unused film is driven at a constantly varying speed, and the carrier for used film is driven from the unused film carrier, a clutch is provided in the drive for the used film carrier. As shown, the carrier 10 for used film is driven through sprockets 12, 14 and a chain 13 by friction wheel 11 engaging a driven carrier 4 for the unused film coil. The sprocket 14 is loose on the shaft 16 and has a clutch face 18 engaging a spring-pressed clutch element 19. The clutch element 19 can be moved out of engagement with the face 18 by a lever 21 fitted with a handle 23. Specifications 172,033 and 207,869 also are referred to.
