207,103. Escher, C. March 12, 1923. Spring wheels.-Between an outer rim 17, carrying a tread member 18, and an inner rim 12, carried by the felly 11, there is interposed an annular cushion member 16, or two such members side by side with means such as the ring 30 and pins 31, for preventing relative circumferential movement, the members 16 being secured to the inner rim by radial bolts 20 passing through countersunk holes 19 in the cushion members, disposed centrally of the cross-section thereof. Angular rings 22, 23, secured to the outer rim 17 and to the cushion member, prevent relative movement. In a modification, a band carrying the outer tread is pressed over a rim with inwardly turned side flanges secured to the cushion member and having holes in register with the countersunk holes therein.
