Indicators actuated by pressure of head of liquid.-A modification of the invention described in the parent Specification consists in the provision of means whereby the displacements of the diaphragm are used to produce, when the indicator is operating, a pressure equal to that of the air space of the reservoir on the face of the distortable member of the pressure gauge usually open to the atmosphere, and, when not operating, equal pressures on both faces of the member. In addition to the water 7, the diaphragm 2 actuates a double valve 13, 13<1>, a spring 14 normally keeping the valve 13 open and the valve 13<1> closed; thus the chamber 12 communicates with both sides of the pressure gauge M through pipes 5, 15. Operation of the pump P closes the valve 13 and opens the valves 7, 13<1>. The size of the orifice 9 in the diaphragm is adjustable by a needle valve.
