Cop type.-Bobbins or spools, particularly those for use with artificial threads, of the kind provided with a perforated winding surface are provided with a conical mouthpiece c at one or both ends, of such length that the bobbin is truly centred on the winding-spindle and that a tight joint is secured when liquid is introduced into the bobbin, whereby threads may be spun, washed under pressure, bleached and, if necessary, dyed, and then dried and finally twisted from the same bobbin.
