Abstract

A magnetic piece is carried by a plastics part which is adhered to a first member. A metal strip is secured to a second member which is movable with respect to the first. <IMAGE>

Description

SPECIFICATION Magnet seal Magnet Seal is a draught proof seal for doors and windows. By placing the metal strip against the edge of door upright you allow for gap between that and edge of door; if gap is 3/1 6" you move the metal strip 3/1 6" from edge of upright and fix. Peeling the paper off the adhesive plastic strip you place the magnetized piece onto the metal strip and stick the adhesive piece to door.
When door is closed it automatically seals itself cutting out the draught between the upright and door. The same principle works on the windows, metal strip one side and magnet strip the other. If the doors and windows are metal then you do not require the metal strip.
A magnetic seal and draught excluder for doors and windows which comprises a continuous flexible magnet strip applied all around the outside periphery of the door or window and attached by adhesive applied to a plastic material flange which in an extension of either a sleeve form or a flange form carries the said magnetic strip and a continuous ferrous metal strip or another continuous magnetic strip applied all around the periphery of the door or window frame in such a manner that when the door or window is closed the magnetic strip on the door or window and the ferrous metal strip or the magnetic strip on the door or window frame are in an overlapping register such that the magnetic attraction causes the gap of the door or window frame to be sealed in a draught proof manner.

    SPECIFICATION Magnet seal Magnet Seal is a draught proof seal for doors and windows. By placing the metal strip against the edge of door upright you allow for gap between that and edge of door; if gap is 3/1 6" you move the metal strip 3/1 6" from edge of upright and fix. Peeling the paper off the adhesive plastic strip you place the magnetized piece onto the metal strip and stick the adhesive piece to door.
    When door is closed it automatically seals itself cutting out the draught between the upright and door. The same principle works on the windows, metal strip one side and magnet strip the other. If the doors and windows are metal then you do not require the metal strip.
