Spring wheels.-A wheel-rim 6 having one or more circular holes carries one or more springs 1 which abut against the shoulders of recesses 9 in side discs 5, the springs comprising (1) a number of incomplete circular laminµ as shown in Fig. 2, or (2) an incomplete ring having inturned abutting ends or with the end joined by a helical spring. When only one spring is used. means for communicating the drive from the side discs 5 to the rim 6 comprise either a bolt 12, Fig. 2, fixed to the discs 5 and passing through a radial slot 11 in the rim 6 or hooked members 10, Fig. 8, pivoted in recesses in the rim 6 and engaging in notches 14 in the discs 5. Cover-discs 15, Fig. 9, may be provided.
