Centrifugal machines. - A pipe a is lined centrifugally with concrete &c., so that the lining h extends over the ends of the pipe, by mounting it in a cage f provided with a rolling surface c and sliding over the spigot end a ring d having a flange d'. The latter is held in position by bolts e attached to an angle-iron ring f, and determines the thickness of the lining, 'being distanced sufficiently from the end cf the pipe to allow the lining to cover the ends. The faucet end is similarly covered by means of a ring i having a packing of rubber &c. n, and 'held in position by centreing studs m. Iron sprigs r, s, Fig. 2, embedded in the ends of the pipe serve to hold the concrete in position.
