Abstract

203,845. Entwisle & Kenyon, Ltd., and Dickinson, T. July 22, 1922. Brush cleaners. - A metal plate E, attached to a block F affixed to the casing of the carpetsweeper, is provided with cutting blades D stamped diagonally or otherwise therefrom and with diagonal slots for engagement with pins g projecting from the block F, whereby limited longitudinal movement is imparted to the plate E corresponding to change in the direction of rotation of the brush A. The diagonal slots may be formed near the ends of the plate E or may be constituted by the slots resulting from stamping out the blades D diagonally. The plate E may be supported by means of heads on the pins g, or by means of a bracket of metal or wire adapted to permit longitudinal movement. The blades D may be stamped from the centre of the plate E, as shown, or may be stamped from the edges. Specifications 26003/13.
