Abstract

206,106. Owen, I. J. Oct. 26, 1922. Grant of Patent refused. Carpet-sweepers. - A device for cleaning the brush of a carpet-sweeper comprises a sheetmetal comb strip or bar 12 secured to a bar 10 disposed across the sweeper case 2, the strip being formed with teeth 13 pointing alternately in opposite directions and projecting into the brush tufts 4. As the brush revolves in either direction the teeth on one or other edge of the strip collect debris, which is deposited in a dust-pan 15 during reverse movement. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 26003/13.
