Abstract
208,327. Entwisle & Kenyon, Ltd., and Kenyon, W. H. Nov. 7, 1922. Brush-cleaners.-A cleaner c, Fig. 5, of the type described in Specification 26003/13, [Class 138 (i), Washing and cleaning buildings &c.], for removing hairs &c. from the rotary brush of a carpetsweeper, is provided at each end with a claw D, which is bent over and secured to a block E attached to the brush casing. The claw may be secured directly to the casing, as shown in Fig. 6, by a bolt d. Intermediate claws D<1> may be provided which may be soldered or brazed to the cleaner or stamped out therefrom. The claw may be separate from the cleaner, as shown in Fig. 10, being provided with a slot d<2> for engagement with the end blade c<1>. In modified constructions the claws are disposed at the sides of the cleaner, being integral therewith, as shown in Fig. 13, or attached thereto or separate therefrom, each claw comprising two limbs D<3> adapted to pass round the block E or be fixed to the brush casing. According to the Provisional Specification, the cleaner may be formed with inclined blades. Specification 178,296 also is referred to.
