Abstract
203,661. Schoen, M. Sept. 7, 1922, [Convention date]. Preserving flour and meal.-Flour and meal are dried and packed in sealed receptacles in which the air has been replaced by inert gas such as nitrogen or carbon dioxide. The drying is effected at a low temperature, by a current of air or in vacuo, and takes place in the storage receptacles, which are provided with an opening, which is afterwards sealed, for the escape of air and moisture and the entrance of the inert gas.
