Abstract

203,172. Parker, G. C., and Crane, W. F. Aug. 22, 1922. Vehicles with removable bodies. -A vehicle C for carrying a wheeled goods-carrying platform or body A is provided at each side with a metal runway C<1> with up-turned sides, to receive the wheels B of the body which are not flanged. The runwarys C' are provided with curved blocks C<4> which guide the platform or body parallel with the vehicle, and they are widened and sloped downwards at the rear to receive ramps for the wheels B. The platform is locked in position on the vehicle by hooks D on the straps of eccentrics on hand-actuated spindles D<3> on the vehicle, the hooks engaging rods A<3> carried by the platform.
