Abstract

202,796. Rolph, V. L. June 28, 1922. Luggage-carriers.-A device for detachably securing a basket or like carrier to the handlebar stem &c. of a cycle comprises two substantially horizontal right-angular members 1, 2 having clip portions 5, clamped to the handle-bar stem 6 by a bolt and nut 7. The ends 3, 4 are detachably connected together by a hinge-like tongue and slot joint. The members 1, 2 are spaced apart to provide room for the brake rods 12, and the parts 8, 9 are shaped for the reception of the lamp-bracket 10. The members 1, 2 are secured to the basket 15 bv bolts 14 passing through the back of the basket and through slotted reinforcing-plates 16.
