Abstract

202,729. Harrison, F. May 24, 1922. Distributing matrices.-A locking-device is provided for preventing the descent of the second elevator lever while the distributor shifter-carriage or equivalent member is in its path. The device consists of a bolt A which is adapted to be depressed against the pressure of a spring C into the path of a pin K on the second elevator lever. The bolt A is depressed by a lever D pivoted on the distributor casting and connected to a rail G, which is carried by pivoted arms H and rests in the path of a cam J on the distributor shiftercarriage. A catch L pivoted on the rail G is employed in known manner to prevent the movement of the shifter-carriage.
