Abstract
222,424. Campbell, C. W., and Cockroft, F. April 24, 1923. Addition to 214,354. Pie-moulding machines.-The spring-controlled lever 11 adapted to engage with the plate 13 on the piston spindle 4 is furnished with an adjustable inclined block 16, movable by a nut 19 whereby the block may be engaged by the head 10 to cause air ejection at the end of the descent of the spindle 3 or may be rendered inoperative so that the air is ejected on the upstroke; further, the plate 13 is rotatable and is furnished with a projection 20 adapted to lie over the lever 11 when it is desired to prevent release of the piston. The lever 11 is furnished with a heel 14 acted upon by a spring 15. Several levers may be provided, each furnished with a block 16 and the plate 13 may carry several projections. The mould clamps 22 are adjustable by screw-and-nut mechanism 26.
