Abstract
The steam generator has several flues, namely a first flue 1 and a third flue 2 coupled together by a second, horizontal flue 3. The first flue 1 comprises a heating surface consisting of steam tubes 4. Supporting tubes 6 serve to suspend a back wall 5 of the first flue and extend through the horizontal flue 2. intermediate spaces for the passage of the flue gases are provided between the supporting tubes 6. In order to ensure that each individual supporting tube 6 or each group of supporting tubes 6 is cooled sufficiently, a header is provided for supplying each supporting tube 6 or each group, into which header there open out at least two steam tubes 4. This ensures that a satisfactory distribution of the water-steam mixture to the supporting tubes 6 takes place and that a sufficiently high velocity of flow exists in each supporting tube. <IMAGE>
