Abstract

A suspension assembly comprises a plurality of harness straps (11) which extend upwards from the load and which are steplessly adjustable in length. Each of the harness straps has at its upper end a loop which passes through a closed ring (4) formed of a number of sewn together layers of strap. In use the ring is coupled to a suspension hook of a helicopter. Various load supporting and load securing straps are disclosed for carrying a load from the lower ends of the harness straps. <IMAGE>
