201,449. Auster, Ltd., and Auster, A. C. Sept. 29, 1922. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Pivoting adjustments. - A hinged joint for wind-screens and other articles comprises a bolt with a squared or other non- circular sectioned part 8 engaging similarlyshaped holes in a hinge member 4 and a slidable coned member 11 adapted to be forced into frictional engagement with the coned socket of the other hinged member 5. The head 7 of the bolt engages the member 4, and the joint is tightened or locked by screwing the nut 13 against the member 11. A washer may be provided under the nut. The hinge joint may be employed for the hinged arms supporting a wind-screen as described in Specification 2898/09. Specification 24302/11 also is referred to.
