Abstract

When in apparatus for the sealing of carton flaps (9) the flaps have not, or have only partially, been glued as a result of a temporary stopping of the cartoning machine, the glue applying apparatus (3) as well as the flap folding and sealing elements (4) are displaced against the running direction of the cartoning machine to complete the closure of a carton. <IMAGE>
