Abstract

To ensure good sliding and braking performance in a roller carriage for descending a chute, of a type having a passenger seat 1, a pair of front wheels 6 on an axle, a front foot carriage 3 which is pivotable about a horizontal axis, and brake means 8 which are applicable by moving rearwardly a running lever 2, a pair of rear wheels may be employed or a pair of rear skids 7 in which latter case, forward operation of the running lever 2 causes the roller carriage to pivot about the axle of the front wheels until the rear skids 7 are completely lifted away from the chute. A towing track may be provided for towing the carriage to the start of the chute, with automatic carriage coupling/or decoupling facilities. <IMAGE>
